IRC - Internet Relay Chat

Internet Relay Chat (IRC) is a form of real-time Internet text messaging (chat) or synchronous conferencing. IRC was invented by Jarkko Oikarinen for use on the Internet in 1988 while Jarkko Oikarinen was working at Finland's University of Oulu. Sygate Firewall is no more

Sygate Free and Pro Firewall software is no more. Symatec bought sygate and as of Nov 30th, 2005 has discontinued support  for the firewall. So much for the competition. Sygate Firewall is still an awesome firewall and I still recommend it. But of you like a suitable replacement  here are some links to check out on the topic of firewalls.
