Castillo de San Marcos

The Castillo de San Marcos National Monument represents the oldest remaining European fortification in the continental United States. The masonry fort and its surrounding land comprise 25 acres in historic downtown St. Augustine, Florida, the oldest continually occupied European settlement in North America (since 1565) The park consists of the original historic Castillo fortress itself with its attendant grounds, some 25 total acres.

Mounts Botanical Garden

Mounts Botanical Garden is Palm Beach County's oldest and largest public garden. Mounts' gardens and programs provide the best horticultural and botanical information available related to South Florida's unique plants and environment. Mounts displays tropical and subtropical plants from around the world, including plants native to Florida, exotic trees, tropical fruit, herbs, citrus, palms and much more.

The Garden is open Monday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sunday from Noon to 5:00 p.m. They are closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Day and Thanksgiving.
